Well, according to my own journal page, I haven't updated since the 28th of October. Can they revoke my geek card for that?

Needless to say, a lot has happened in the intervening three months, not least of which is that, yea verily, we have moved into the new house. That's pretty much the reason I haven't had time for LJ or e-mail or indeed the internet (today was the first day I had logged on in something over two months). After my last log, my days were spent packing, packing, packing. That or painting, painting, painting.

It's really too bad I didn't keep a good log during the moving process, because it was quite an experience. In the end, it took two separate days and two 17-foot trucks to move all our stuff, and the second truck couldn't quite fit everything in. The movers sent me a little information packet which included a "box estimate" table to help determine how many boxes would be needed for a typical move. According to this table, a fully furnished two-bedroom apartment would require 139 boxes. I laughed and laughed and laughed....

Splitting the move into two days was the best thing we could have done, though. The moving estimator suggested that we move only the books and bookcases one day, then move everything else a day or two later. It worked out wonderfully, because we got the bulk of the books and bookcases unpacked and out of the way before the rest of the stuff arrived, and considering that the books accounted for close to half the boxes, that was a Good Thing.

Boo loves the new house. Her room is all bright and sunny and has lots of room for her run around in. She also loves having a backyard, and usually requests to go outside a couple of times a day. We had some snow showers all day yesterday, and she thought the snowflakes on her face were great.

Anyway, that's more or less the highlights of the last three months, probably most concisely summed up by saying: We moved into the new house and it's really cool.

Oh, yeah, and that I missed LJ a lot. I'm glad to be back!

I don't know if I've gone two *days* since 1996. *g*

Yeah, I miss those days, when it'd be more like 3 hours between log-ins than 3 months. :) And if I ever figure out a way to knit and type at the same time....
