Internet Anniversary

Well, I couldn't let today go by without posting (unlike the 4,839 days I let go by without posting, but never mind). Today, as it happens, is the tenth anniversary of my very very first post to Usenet. I probably wouldn't have been surprised, at the time, to think that I'd still be farting around the internet ten years later, but I am pleased to still be hanging around at least a few of the folks who were there when I came in (waves to vickita and tingler).

So, in honor of this little anniversary, I'd like to do something I don't often do. This is a meme I saw when I was first poking around Usenet, and I thought it'd be fun to do it again:

How's Miss Boo? You know, tingler is stranded with her clan, uh, *somewhere* out there in your neck of the woods, waiting for her truck to be repaired. I just spoke to the girl last night, and I think the family togetherness is starting to get to them all. ;-D

And of course, you made me just do a groups search to see when I started posting on usenet. Unless I was using a pseudonym (and I doubt I was), I didn't post to usenet until November 1996. I must have been lurking for months. :)
