Quick Note
May. 31st, 2004 01:19 pmBad news, I'm afraid. Al's dad died unexpectedly Sunday morning. He was having some routine back surgery, and developed complications which culminated in a heart attack Sunday morning. We came home early from MediaWest, but the drive down to Nashville yesterday (Sunday) was so incredibly hellish that we decided to sleep in this morning and only go as far as my mother's house today. I'm going to stay there with Boo while Al goes down to his parents' house.
So far, Al's all right. He's now in "mission mode," focusing on what needs to be done, and I think he'll probably stay that way long enough to get through the necessary dealings with the rest of the family.
Despite the way it ended, MW was an incredible amount of fun. I talked, I discussed, I bought, I geeked. I'd love to write up a report, but I'm afraid that's going to have to wait a bit. I hope everyone had a great time, and I look forward to reading reports when I get back!
